As you may have noticed, the West Branch website has been moved to a new host and has a brand-new look. There are still some errors and bugs appearing throughout the site, but I will be addressing those as soon as possible. I will also be adding more features in the coming months.

Due to the forecasted inclement weather this upcoming Saturday, the April 19 work party is cancelled.

The work party rain date is Saturday, April 26. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend on this alternate date.

WBRPC.org will be moving to a new hosting provider on April 30. We are hoping to have a new, redesigned site in place before this date. The redesigned site will initially have fewer features, but will be expanded over the next several months.

We appreciate your patience as we work through the next few weeks.

The 2025 match and event schedule and the 2025 newsletter are now available in Club Documents in the Members Only section. Check them out!

A major fire in New Jersey was started at a shooting range by a “Dragon’s Breath” shotgun round, which shoots out burning magnesium.  Our range rules prohibit “incendiary rounds” which includes Dragon’s Breath shotgun rounds and any other rounds that are designed to shoot out burning material.  Note that muzzle loading cloth patches are not prohibited, but muzzle loading shooters should take care that their patches are not left smoldering on the ground.

The Dueling Tree is available for use again.

It MUST remain in its current location against the berm!!!

Anyone wishing to shoot at the dueling tree from closer than 50 yards must have all shooters present on the pistol range agree to shoot from a closer common firing line.

The Executive Board has revised the Rules and Regulations. The revised rules are posted in the Members’ Area under Club Documents.

Read and FOLLOW the rules. In particular, the Target Placement rules have CHANGED:

NEW TARGET PLACEMENT RULES: RIFLE RANGE

  • Shoot only at targets directly in front of you — do NOT shoot diagonally across the range!
  • Targets may be placed ONLY at the 100-yard target line.
  • All live fire must take place from the 100-yard firing line, except during scheduled Club Matches, or when all shooters present agree to shoot from a closer common firing line or to allow a shooter to zero from the 75-yard line. No substitute target supports, spinners, or silhouettes of any kind may be used.
  • All rifles whose zero is not known will first be zeroed in and function tested on the rifle range from the 75 yard line, at a target placed on one of the 100 yard line target stands.

NEW TARGET PLACEMENT RULES – PISTOL RANGES

  • Targets on the Pistol Ranges may be placed ONLY in the following locations:
    • On the bowling pin table;
    • On one of the bullet traps; and
    • As close to the berm as practicable, to prevent misses or pass-throughs from bouncing off the ground and over the berm.
